Demystifying School-Based PBIS, SEL, Trauma-Informed, Mindfulness-Based & Mental Health Programs
In this session with Dr. Monica Shah will explain the differences and commonalities between school-based programming such as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), trauma-informed programs, mindfulness-based programs, and school mental health programs. Each will be discussed in terms of what they address, when to use them, what they look like in practice, and their desired outcomes. Attendees will leave the session feeling more knowledgeable and confident in discussing and applying these programs in their schools.

Lesson Planning for Littles: Using the SIOP Model in Primary Classrooms
This PD on Demand walks you through how to utilize the SIOP Model to align content and language instruction in primary classrooms, highlighting a connective thread between reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as the purposeful use of technology for our youngest MLLs/ELLs. Participants will view age-appropriate SIOP practices to support language and literacy development for our elementary MLL/ELL students.
