Your Neurodiverse Classroom: Understanding Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence

October 22 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

- $350

We talk about biodiversity, but what about NEURODIVERSITY? In this session, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and neurodivergence, reflect on ways to recognize and celebrate the value and contributions of neurodivergent students who are in your classroom, and learn how these variations can show up in students with conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. With the ultimate goal of fostering a culture of acceptance and respect, participants will explore common misconceptions and ways to challenge them.

By attending this session, participants will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of Neurodiversity & Neurodivergence by definition
  • Reflect on ways to value and affirm neurodivergent students in their classes
  • Learn how neurodivergence may manifest in students & ways to challenge misconceptions
  • Explore strategies to foster a culture of acceptance and respect
