In Part 2 of this four-part series*, participants will begin to apply their knowledge of translanguaging theory into practice. Building upon the foundational knowledge acquired in the first session, participants will consider what embracing the rich linguistic practices and multilingual development of MLLs/ELLs really looks like on the ground. Through collaborative work and engaging discussions, participants will explore how translanguaging can be seamlessly integrated into their unique educational contexts, unlocking the full potential of immigrant-origin learners.
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Analyze the multifaceted ways in which translanguaging can empower and support immigrant-origin learners, fostering an inclusive and affirming learning environment.
- Develop a contextualized action plan that outlines concrete strategies for implementing translanguaging theory in your specific educational setting, tailored to the needs and strengths of your learners.
