Translanguaging in Education: Crafting Linguistically Inclusive Lessons (Part 3)

December 10 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

In Part 3 of this highly interactive and participant-driven series*, participants will continue to apply their knowledge of translanguaging theory into practice. This hands-on session empowers educators to transcend theoretical boundaries and actively shape inclusive learning experiences that honor and uplift the voices of MLLs/ELLs. Leave equipped with practical strategies and tailored resources, ready to evolve your practice and unlock the boundless potential of your multilingual students through the transformative power of translanguaging.

After this session, participants will be able to:

  • Craft contextualized lesson plans and instructional approaches that integrate translanguaging principles, celebrating and leveraging the linguistic diversity of MLLs/ELLs.
  • Develop a comprehensive lesson artifact or instructional resource that exemplifies the application of translanguaging theory within your specific educational context, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

Facilitator: Avery Lussier

*Note: Collaborative members will use ONE School Team Learning Cohort seat per participant to attend this four-part series.
