Translanguaging in Education: Catalyst for Continuous Change (Part 4)

December 17 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

In Part 4 of this four-part series,* participants will engage in a profound and meaningful reflection on the application of translanguaging theory within their unique educational contexts. Through insightful discussions and collaborative sharing, educators will have the opportunity to delve into their experiences, successes, and challenges encountered while implementing translanguaging principles in their schools and classrooms. Leave with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with actionable strategies, and a commitment to continuously evolve and strengthen your inclusive, linguistically-affirming approach to education.

By attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Critically reflect on their journey of applying translanguaging theory, evaluating the impact on student learning, engagement, and overall classroom dynamics.
  • Participate in a constructive feedback loop, offering insights and receiving valuable perspectives from fellow educators, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan for continuous growth and sustained application of translanguaging practices, ensuring an ongoing commitment to supporting the diverse linguistic needs of their student community.

Facilitator: Avery Lussier

*Note: Collaborative members will use ONE School Team Learning Cohort seat per participant to attend this four-part series.
