This full day, in-person session* is a follow up to the virtual Summer Session designed specifically for MLL/ELL teachers and special education teachers. We’ll expand on topics that were covered in the virtual session with all staff:
- Creating learner profiles
- Building relationships with students
- Setting a positive classroom culture
- Creating multiple points of access
- Introducing scaffolds to proactively address barriers
By the end of the session, participants will walk away with a deeper knowledge of the what, why, and how of scaffolding instruction for special populations and tools to help a strong launch with their students with disabilities and multilingual learners in SY2627.
