In this full day, IN PERSON session, Math eductors will engage in hands-on, interactive learning to deepen their understanding of the Concrete–Representational–Abstract (CRA) framework to support their abilities to provide differentiation and multiple access points for students in Math. Through modeling, guided practice, and collaborative problem solving, educators will use concrete and representational tools to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and mathematical reasoning across Grades 3–8.
The session emphasizes classroom-ready routines and examples that can be implemented immediately. This session is ideal for educators who value active, practice-based professional learning and want students to truly make sense of mathematics.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Apply the CRA framework intentionally to design and sequence instruction
- Use concrete and representational models to support student sense-making, explanation, and problem solving across Grades 3–8
- Implement CRA-based routines and tasks that are ready for immediate classroom use
