Join educator extraordinaire Tyler Rablin to build on lessons learned from Part 1 of this three-part series.* In Part 2, we’ll deep dive further into learning progressions derived from learning standards – the MOST valuable tool he introduced in his classroom. Learning Progressions increase meaningful student ownership, support differentiation for diverse learning needs, and allow students to use assessment data to guide their own learning. While these classroom elements can feel overwhelming, learning progressions make them more sustainable, efficient, and effective.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify levels of complexity within standards
- Build learning progressions to foster student ownership of learning
- Use learning progressions to support differentiation in the classroom
Facilitator: Tyler Rablin
*Note: Collaborative members will use ONE STLC: School Team Learning Cohort (STLC) seat to attend this three-part series (2/24, 3/3, and 3/10). We encourage teachers to attend with coaches and/or Directors of Curriculum and Instruction to ensure alignment between schoolwide expectations and classroom instruction.
