NCI II

October 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Our CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) trainings are ONLY available to Enhanced and Premier Collaborative members.

Part II (Physical Disengagement)
Through training in CPI’s Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI), your school’s designated team (up to 4 for Enhanced member schools and up to 5 for Premier member schools) will develop prevention strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. Participants will learn how behavior escalates and how to respond appropriately in order to de-escalate. By utilizing discussions, role-plays and activities, attendees will leave the session with certification in verbal de-escalation, physical disengagement skills and physical holding skills by the Crisis Prevention Institute and strategies to support students and staff in moments of crisis.

Note: Blue Card Certification is dependent on complete attendance and passing the included exam; anyone arriving after 9:30 can still participate but will NOT be eligible for Blue Card Certification.
