This session will expose participants to the steps taken to create a multi-tiered system of support for English Language Learners. Participants will have time to review the briefs from the Office of Special Education Programs and discuss possibilities for creating a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) for English Language Learners in their school or district.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Participants will identify the key elements of an effective Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for English Language Learners (ELLs).
- Participants will examine available tools that facilitate the implementation of MTSS for ELLs.
- Participants will discuss actionable steps that schools or districts can take to promote equity in support for ELLs.
