Schools nationwide are looking for ways to improve their climates and create spaces of belonging for all students. While this may seem like a daunting challenge, evidence-based frameworks provide clear guidance for building these vital systems. This two-part series* will focus on implementing a social-emotional and behavioral framework that centers access, opportunity, and meaningful participation, especially from individuals representing diverse cultures and backgrounds.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the key principles of a culturally responsive behavioral framework
- Define how to create spaces of belonging in their specific context
- Identify strategies to engage educators in reducing biased, quick decisions in discipline
Facilitator: Dr. Nikole Hollins-Sims
*Note: This series is designed for school leadership team. Each participant will use one School Teams Learning Cohort seat to participate in this two-part series.
