Join us for an impactful session that will equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to foster secure attachments, promote social-emotional learning, and create a supportive environment where every child can develop and thrive. More specifically, this session will enhance participants’ understanding of Attachment Theory and its impact on children’s behavior, emotions, and relationships in the school setting. We’ll learn strategies to effectively support children with different attachment styles, promoting a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that aligns with SEL goals, strengths-based practice and person-centered, trauma-informed care.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize patterns in children’s interpersonal behaviors that stem from their early childhood attachment experiences.
- Identify connections between a child’s attachment style and their behaviors in the classroom.
- Adapt your approach to children’s emotions and behaviors based on their attachment histories, styles, and needs, aligning with trauma-informed care and strengths-based practices.
